SH® Sliding Table – Large Roof Slabs:
The Sliding Table is an ideal piece of equipment for construction of large roof slabs, especially prestressed slabs, in a short lead time.
The sliding table is a slab formwork that rests on the already concreted columns. In this way, conventional shoring is minimal. In some cases, no additional propping is even necessary. The sliding tables can be moved horizontally by pulling on bearings, or vertically with the help of a crane, and do not need to be disassembled for movement. The standardized system of the SH are suitable for slab spans of 7.50 m wide by 23.00 m long.
All material sizes are up to 170m² in area/assembly and can be transported manually or using Tirfor to the next concreting location
Application of SH® Sliding Table:
Slabs with regular sizes and many repetitions, such as shopping malls.
Material:
Two structural steel beams, connected together with transversal trusses, lined with wooden beams and plastic laminated plywood.
Pre-Assembling of SH® Sliding Table:
The sliding tables are assembled on the floor, easily accessible and no risk of falling down. When ready, a crane positions the tables on consoles mounted on the columns.
Handling:
After concreting, when the concrete has sufficient strength and prestressing are carried out, the sliding tables are moved away from the slab by lowering the adjustable brackets on columns. The fixed supports of the consoles are provided with low-friction bearings, and the sliding table can be pulled out for the next concreting work. Just raise the sliding table back up to the level of the concreting, and finish the trims between the tables.
Application of SH® Sliding Table:
- Reduction of required manpower
- Greater speed in the execution of the work
- No or little propping, and consequently less or no need for repropping.
