A guest with decades of experience
The class was taught by renowned civil engineer Arnoldo Augusto Wendler Filho, a professional with over 40 years of experience in the area of structures, a national reference in structural masonry systems and concrete walls. Arnoldo is the director of Wendler Projetos e Sistemas Estruturais, coordinator of the Brazilian standard NBR 16055 (Concrete Walls) and has notable experiences in the academic world, especially at USP and UNICAMP.
What was discussed
During the masterclass, Arnoldo Wendler presented an in-depth view of construction systems based on concrete walls, highlighting the following topics:
Efficiency of the formwork system: cost analysis, reuse and impact on construction speed;
Screens and accessories: rational use of materials and labor;
Quality and efficiency of concrete: technical criteria to ensure robustness, durability and performance;
