There are construction projects that go beyond simple construction of residential spaces. A striking example of this is the Atlantis Lotus residential development, located on the north coast of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where SH had the honor of actively participating in the execution of the common areas of this horizontal condominium of houses.
Atlantis Lotus stands out for its architecture inspired by the lotus flower, which is reflected in every detail, from the entrance to the swimming pools and the administrative building.
The success of a project as exceptional as Atlantis Lotus depends on the collaboration of reliable and competent professionals and companies. That’s where SH comes into the picture, playing a fundamental role in implementing the project’s shoring system.
The main challenge of this work was to create a unique architectural structure, inspired by the shape of the lotus flower,
which required complex engineering solutions to ensure stability and desired aesthetics.
SH’s role in this work was crucial, especially with regard to the design and execution of the systems
of shoring necessary to support the prestressed slabs and inverted beams, which are essential structural elements to achieve the desired shape
of the building.
To overcome this challenge, SH implemented customized shoring solutions, taking into account the peculiarity of the project and structural requirements. This included developing shoring systems that were robust and flexible enough to accommodate the large spans and overhangs present in the structure, as well as supporting the curvature of the lotus leaves.
The significant density of steel and concrete in the slabs, combined with their considerable thickness, required careful shoring engineering to ensure that the structure could support its own weight and additional loads, remaining stable during construction.
In addition, SH also offered specialized technical assistance throughout the process, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of the work.
