SH300 TRUSS

In some cases of works of art there is a need to implement temporary access for pedestrians, due to the great interference in the local road system. The execution of a temporary walkway is the ideal solution to promote safety of passersby.
SH’s truss system makes it possible to overcome
large spans, offering comfort and tranquility for those who need to move from safe way. The tube-structured SH 300 truss galvanized steel and its accessories offers the ideal solution for the work that needs a practical, quick access system it’s safe.

Challenges

BRIDGES AND VIADUCTS SUPPORT WHAT YOUR WORK NEEDS

Works of art such as bridges and viaducts contains large structural parts. The solutions that best fit These works are not simple and require of good planning.
Works with a location that is difficult to access are even more challenging, as they involve a large logistical study.

Access to the work needs to be thought of for transporting large vehicles carrying like a crane and trailer. The choice of equipment for the shoring depends a lot on the mode execution that our client wants to adopt.

BRIDGE OVER THE POXIM RIVER

An important infrastructure project in Aracaju, Sergipe, the bridge over the Poxim River will now have three lanes in both directions, 12 m wide each, in addition to a cycle path and two pedestrian lanes.

With a total length of more than 170m and five spans of approximately 29m each, the work on the Bridge over the Poxim River involved a great challenge in executing the main beams, considering the concreting of two spans plus a single advance. .

As it is a hyperstatic beam, the structure’s designers determined that they could not concrete the beam per span, forcing the shoring solution to carry out the design to cover two spans simultaneously, plus the advancement of the third span, using one of the 408m bridges. SH 300 Truss.

Challenge

With the advancement of the foundation and, in parallel, the execution of the solution for the truss shoring, a technical engineering visit was carried out of SH at the construction site to make final adjustments. During the visit, it was found that the dimensions of the foundation blocks were revised and the
initial solution with the trusses supporting the bottom of the beam would be submerged.
The maximum water level quota would practically completely cover all
trusses. It was necessary to increase the height of the support towers by raising
the trusses and changing the solution to suspended bracing with anchor bars, using a total of 5 thousand meters of 3/4” bars
throughout the work.

Solution

With the concreted beams and the resistance reached, it could be used to resist part of the load from the construction of the slab.
During the construction of the slab, we had the interference of truss support towers. The slab was concreted without dismantling the towers and were placed niches to leave their location empty, with the intention of being concreted after removal. throughout the work.

Execution

With the projects defined by the best solution to meet the work, planning for the supply of equipment that will be transported to the location.
The service included the two 170m long bridges carried out simultaneously, between SH 300 truss, LTT load tower, Concreform form for concrete, W profile, C profile plus accessories.

Our client

SH is recognized for the quality and efficiency of its services in large works. But we are not the ones saying that. The person saying this is one of the professionals involved, who had a partnership with SH.

During the construction of the Baixo Guandu/ES a 14 meter span over the railway, without the use of a structure supported on the ground, as we could not interrupt the flow of trains on either of the two existing lines.

After much discussion and field visits by the SH Tecnica team, we came up with a modular proposal with support towers and trusses, which proved to be a great solution, as we needed a system that was quick to both assemble and disassemble, as during assembly of the truss modules, the railway operation gave us only two hours of train flow interruption on the two railway lines.

Congratulations to the entire SH team that participated and helped us overcome this great challenge!
