Scaffolding is a fundamental structure in various stages of civil construction, as it ensures safe and productive access when working at height. SH offers complete, certified solutions that can be adapted to different types of projects and industries, always in compliance with current regulations. Below, we answer the most common questions on this topic.
What is the difference between the types of scaffolding supplied by SH?
We work with scaffolding assembly equipment in accordance with NR-18. We offer the Fachadeiro system (frames and interlocking locks), the Multidirectional Modex system (posts, crossbars, and diagonals that fit in multiple directions), and conventional tubular systems, which use clamps and sleeves for their connections.
Is SH scaffolding certified?
Yes. It meets the requirements of NR-18, NR-35, and ABNT standards, with reports and technical ART when applicable.
Can SH scaffolding be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. They are versatile, highly stable, and can be used on facades, warehouses, logistics centers, civil engineering projects, industrial sites, and other environments. The type or model will be determined based on the characteristics and needs of each project, through a joint assessment between our technical team and the client.
How are scaffolding systems assembled and disassembled?
SH offers a technical team for guidance and training. We also provide blueprints, manuals, assembly videos, and full support to the responsible teams.
Is it possible to customize the scaffolding to meet the needs of the project?
Yes. The Modex Multidirectional and Conventional Tubular systems are highly versatile and can accommodate any configuration, constraint, or shape, no matter how complex. The choice depends on complexity, assembly time, and site interference, with no height limitations.
What is the safe height limit for scaffolding?
There is no height limit. For scaffolding above 60 m or when loads exceed the capacity of a single post, the design will indicate structural reinforcements. For simple and low-rise scaffolding, the following basic stability rules must be followed:
Static scaffolding: smallest base = 1/4 of the height.
Mobile scaffolding: smallest base = 1/3 of the height.
Furthermore, they must be secured to rigid structures or supported by cables.
How is safety against falls from a height ensured?
Scaffolding must have double or triple guardrails, toeboards around the entire perimeter, sturdy, non-slip flooring, ladders with guardrails, and tubular gates at access points. The work must be performed by a trained professional, using a safety harness with a double lanyard and fall arrest device, as per legislation.
What is access equipment?
These are the elements that make up the scaffolding: posts, crossbars, frames, tubes and connections, ladders, guardrails, fixed or adjustable support bases, flooring, and toeboards. When assembled according to the design, they form the complete system.
What is the average scaffolding rental period?
The minimum rental period is one month. After this period, charges are charged daily, prorated for the additional period.
Is technical assistance available during construction?
Yes. SH supports the project from start to finish, with technical visits and on-site guidance. We can also provide refresher training for assemblers, blueprint readings, and instructions for warehouse teams on storage, conservation, and preventive maintenance, reducing the risk of loss or damage.
With over five decades of experience in the market, SH guarantees scaffolding solutions that combine safety, efficiency, and practicality for any type of project. Our equipment complies with all technical standards and is supported by a specialized team, which supports the client from planning to execution.
