The urban revitalization of Caruaru, in Pernambuco, reached a new milestone with the construction of the portico on Avenida José Rodrigues de Jesus. Part of one of the city’s main improvement projects, the project was designed to enhance the entrance to Caruaru, generating a positive impact on both urban mobility and the region’s visual identity. In addition to directly benefiting residents, the new portico enhances the experience for visitors, strengthening the city’s commitment to the quality and modernization of public spaces.
SH was present at this important project, providing structural solutions that ensured agility, safety and efficiency. 42 tons of equipment were supplied, including the SH100 trusses – which allowed large spans to be covered without the need for central supports –, the Modex ® SH towers, responsible for the stability of the structure, and the Tubo 48, which reinforced the system as a complement.
The location of the project, on a high-traffic road, represented one of the project’s main challenges. The impossibility of interrupting traffic required an intelligent and safe solution that would allow the suspended construction of the structure, without compromising the circulation of pedestrians and drivers. SH, with its technical experience and flexible solutions, developed an effective alternative, allowing the maintenance of traffic flow and the safe execution of the work.
SH’s support was strategic not only in providing the appropriate equipment, but also in actively participating in the planning and execution of the work. The agile and personalized service was essential for the work to remain on schedule, minimizing urban impacts and ensuring the required quality.
