SH is providing support for the construction of the Water Supply System in Apucarana, Paraná. Together with Gel Construções, our Curitiba unit works to deliver the best solution for the customer.
The objective is to expand the water supply system, with 4 reservoirs (2 concrete and 2 metallic; totaling 10 million liters of treated water), 9 km of water mains and networks and 2 elevators.
With completion scheduled for December 2022, this work will improve water distribution throughout the city, especially in the remotest regions due to shortages and far from the reservation centers, which represent a gain of 10 million liters of water in the system, going from the current 8 million to 18 million.
Bruna Gauer, one of our designers who is working on the project, gave her statement about SH’s participation in this expansion: “For the preparation of the formwork projects, an in-depth study of the details of the structures was necessary to find the best engineering solution. In addition, the project’s challenge and differential was to adapt the Concreform that we had in stock to the client’s project, as this was a time when our idleness was very low.”
The biggest challenge in this project was in the logistical planning part. Márcio Azuma, engineer at Gel Construções, spoke about SH’s presence in the project: “SH has worked very closely with customers, in order to optimize the materials used in the units, and also in an agile way in solutions not foreseen in the phase of planning.”
SH solutions for the project
The SH Curitiba unit is supplying 35 tons of Tekko Formwork for concreting the walls of the RAP 17 Reservoir, profiles for locking and scaffolding for the pillars of RAP 17, in addition to 35 tons of Concreform SH® Formwork for the walls of REN 02 and 50 tons LTT Towers for Shoring the slabs of REN 02.
SH team in action
The Planning sector at SH assists the work, ensuring customer satisfaction. Our team of designers acts quickly enough to exchange information between SH and the client, participating in meetings and assisting in the client’s decisions, having control of the available equipment.
Working on this work are our collaborators Thainá Rudnick (Contract Supervisor), Bruna Gauer (Designer) and Robson Baptista (Technical Assistant).
